PILOTS N’ PAWS PET RESCUE SERVICES. SAVING ONE LIFE AT A TIME!
JEFF BENNETT. GIVING RESCUE DOGS A NEW LEASE ON LIFE!
This is a great organization of volunteer pilots who donate time and effort to help rescue animals out. It’s always nice to know that more people are becoming involved in rescues across the US and have turned their attention to rescuing and transporting animals who are victims of neglect and abuse.
Every year over 4 million wonderful dogs and cats will be euthanized. Pilots n’ Paws is a national charity helping to change that. These awesome volunteer pilots have transport available for all rescue animals that have future homes waiting for them.
Pilots N’ Paws will be receiving the Rescue Organization of the Year at the Pet Philanthropy Circle’s 2012 Pet Hero Awards. The award will be presented on June 9th 2012 at PetFest in Bridghampton, NY. The co-founder is Debi Boies.
Today, June 6th, 2012 was similar to a “Noah’s Ark” transport that started with the “Hasenpfeffer Express” as Jeff Bennett loaded 9 rabbits and one Guinea Pig from the Key West Shelter that were going to Rescue in Tampa. After delivering this furry load, he departed Tampa for Marianna, FL up in the Florida panhandle.
Jeff Bennett then loaded up 4 kittens and 10 dogs/puppies. The next stop was a short hop over to Bainbridge, GA where he picked up 4 dogs/puppies from the Bainbridge shelter before starting the return trip back to Tampa and the two rescues that were taking this group.
Pilots n’Paws are relentless about networking with shelters, finding forever homes and providing transport for rescue dogs coming from overcrowded shelters.
There are plenty of opportunities for all of us to get involved and help.Small plane transport provides an invaluable service for dog rescue and placement in forever homes ,which are often in another state.Pilots N’ Paws currently play a vital role in dog rescue transport and have saved many furry lives. If you have a plane please contact Pilots N’ Paws and help save one life at a time.
